Lama Adam Berner is a contemplative educator, writer, and founder of Mindfulness For Life, a nonprofit offering free, trauma-informed mindfulness training to frontline care workers and social justice advocates.

In 2020, he completed a 42-month meditation retreat, receiving the title “Lama”, and holds an advanced Trauma-Sensitive Mindfulness certification.

His work integrates Buddhist practice, the science of flourishing, and moral injury prevention as he advocates for informed consent, improved meditation facilitator training, and person-centered frameworks for contemplative practice. He hosts the Lama Taboot podcast about meditation, Dharma, and the band Phish, and is currently developing a memoir and a Substack which illustrate his new mindfulness-based moral injury prevention program.
